Overview
Susquehanna International Group is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our Electronic Options Trading team, specializing in the documentation of platforms, systems, libraries, and APIs. The ideal candidate will create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation tailored for software developers in our quantitative trading business. This role is crucial in ensuring that our technical resources are accessible and useful for our quantitative development, research, and trading teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation Development: Create and maintain high-quality documentation for software platforms, systems, libraries, and APIs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software developers and other stakeholders to gather information and understand technical requirements.
- User-centric Approach: Develop user guides, API documentation, and technical specifications that meet the needs of software developers.
- Content Management: Organize and manage documentation in a centralized repository, ensuring it is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Review and Edit: Review existing documentation for clarity, accuracy, and completeness; edit materials as necessary.
- Training and Support: Provide training sessions and support for developers on how to both create and utilize documentation effectively.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the software or finance industry.
- Strong understanding of software development processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Markdown, Sphinx, Confluence, GitHub).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python) and API documentation standards (e.g., OpenAPI) preferred.
- Experience with agile development methodologies preferred.
